I offer psychotherapy for both individuals and adults in relationships. Whether you are seeking support on your own, as a couple, with a family member, or with another important person in your life, therapy can provide a space to deepen understanding, strengthen connection, and navigate challenges with greater awareness and compassion.
My work is grounded in an integrative, relationship-centered approach. Drawing from Humanistic, Somatic, Parts Work, Gestalt, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for individuals and couples, I tailor each session to your unique needs and goals. Together, we explore not only the challenges you face, but also the strengths, resilience, and capacity for growth that already exist within you.
I believe meaningful change happens when we feel safe enough to be fully present with ourselves and one another. My intention is to create a welcoming, collaborative space where healing, authenticity, and lasting transformation can unfold.
During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another and exploring what has brought you to therapy. I'll invite you to share the challenges you're facing and what you hope to gain from our work together..
The first session is also an opportunity for you to experience my therapeutic style and determine whether we're a good fit. I welcome your questions about how I work, what you can expect from the therapeutic process, or anything else that will help you feel comfortable and informed. Building a trusting, collaborative relationship is an important foundation for meaningful change.
Individual therapy sessions are typically 60 minutes in length. and couples therapy 90 minutes. As we become clearer about your needs and goals, we may choose to adjust the structure or length of our sessions to best support your process. In some situations, longer, multi-hour intensive sessions can provide the time and continuity needed for deeper exploration and meaningful change. Fees are charged on an hourly basis.
Every person's journey is unique, and the length of therapy depends on your goals, the challenges you're facing, and the pace that feels right for you. That said, in my experience, many individuals find that meaningful, lasting change develops over approximately six to twelve months of consistent therapy. To maintain momentum and support steady progress, I generally recommend meeting at least every other week, and for some people, weekly sessions are the most effective.
For couples and relationship therapy, creating lasting changes in long-established patterns often takes more time. Many couples benefit from a commitment of approximately twelve to eighteen months, allowing enough time to strengthen trust, develop new ways of relating, and integrate those changes into everyday life.
As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), I practice under the clinical supervision of Francia Kappeler, LMFT #109192, owner of All Rivers Therapy. I take Partnership HealthPlan/Carelon Medi-Cal. All other services are provided on a private-pay basis. A limited number of sliding-scale appointments are available upon request.
